The writ petition has been filed for a writ of mandamus, directing the second and third respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation, dated 17.06.2013, within a stipulated time. 2.According to the petitioner, he purchased the land in Survey No.400/12, by the deed of sale, dated 09.12.2010, from the legal heirs of the Late.Veeranan, for a valuable consideration and he is in possession and enjoyment of the property by paying house tax. The petitioner made representations to the first respondent on various dates and on 22.11.2012, for issuance of patta. The first respondent did not pass any order on the representation. The petitioner came to know that patta for Survey No.400/12 of N.Koothappanpatti Village, Navinipatti Panchayat, Melur Taluk, issued in the name of Karuppayee and her three sons. According to him, they are strangers to the property. In the circumstances, he gave a representation on 17.06.2013 to cancel the patta issued to Karuppayee and her sons by Tahsildar. not pass any order on the representation. The second respondent by the proceedings, dated 18.06.2013, forwarded the petitioner's representation to the third respondent to take action on the representation. Till then, they have not passed any orders.
3.In the circumstances, without going into merits of the case, the petitioner is directed to approach the second respondent for cancellation of patta. If such petition is received, the second respondent is directed to consider the same, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks thereafter.
4.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
