This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to forbear the respondents from issuing licence or approval or consent order to run sand quarry on a large scale or for commercial purpose in Kundaru River bed at Maili Village, Sethupuram Village, Udaiyanampatti Village, P.Pudupatti Village, Udaiyarenthal Village, Soriyanenthal Village and Chettikulam Village, Tiruchulit Taluk, Virudhunagar District.

2. Mr.K.Chellapandian, learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondents 1, 2 and 8, based on the office record, submitted that licence for running sand quarry was granted from 09.05.2013 to 22.07.2014 and the said period is already over.

3. Recording the said submission, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
