Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of a Certiorarified Mandamus, by calling for the entire records pertaining to the communication made by the 3rd Respondent vide his letter in Lr.No.EE/D/APK/TA/D.No/590/13-1, dated 20.08.2013 and quash the same and consequently direct the Respondents to provide the free electricity service connection for agricultural purpose under the scheme of "Revised Self Financing Scheme" to the petitioner's property situated in Survey No.68/8, M.Iluppaikulam Village, Mudukkankulam Post, Kariapatti Taluk, Virudhunagar District.

Today when the matter is taken up, Mr.G.Kasinatha Durai, Standing counsel for Tamilnadu Electricity Board submitted that the detailed counter has been filed on behalf of the respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. Perusal of the counter clearly shows that the petitioner did not pay the advanced estimate cost of Rs.500/- as

per the Rules and Regulations of the TANGEDCO, for getting free electricity service connection for agricultural purpose, in the name of Revised Self Financing Scheme(RSFS) and he has already availed electricity service connection No.445 under Tarrif-V for the purpose of sale of Water, in respect of the Survey No.68/8. It is further stated that the petitioner has got existing service connection in the above said same survey No.68/8 for the purpose of sale of water. Therefore he cannot no seek for the service connection in the name of Revised Self Financing Scheme.

Therefore the petitioner is not entitled for availing the service connection under the said scheme, even otherwise the petitioner has not produced any document to show that he has paid Rs.500/- towards advanced estimate cost, whereas he has filed the receipt for payment of Rs.50/- for registration fee. Therefore, the request of the petitioner in this writ petition can not be entertained.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs. However, it is always open to the petitioner to work out his remedy, in the manner known to law.
