Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to call for the records on the file of the 3rd respondent and direct to the 3rd respondent to alter the sections in Crime No.179/2025 as Motor Accident case and also to send the Motor vehicle involved in the road accident to the Inspector of Vehicles for his Report and also to provide appropriate documents for claiming the Motor Accident 1/4

Compensation to the Petitioner based on the complaint made by the petitioner dated 24.07.2025 and file final report within the time limit stipulated by this Court for the following among other facts of the case. ORDER

The petitioner seeks a direction to the third respondent to alter the sections in Crime No.179/2025 as Motor Accident case and also to send the Motor vehicle involved in the road accident to the Inspector of Vehicles for his Report and also to provide appropriate documents for claiming the Motor Accident Compensation to the Petitioner, based on his complaint dated 24.07.2025 and to file final report within the time stipulated by this Court.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police, on instructions, would submit that the investigation in the case in Crime No.179 of 2025 has been completed and the final report has been filed as 'further action dropped' before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Kumbakonam and RCS notice has also been served on the petitioner. Hence, nothing survives for further adjudication.

3.In view of the above submission, this Writ Petition is dismissed with the liberty to the petitioner to challenge the final report in the manner known to law. No costs.
