Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to restrain the Respondents from attempting to permanently construct a police checkpost by combining Survey Nos.15/1A (the Petitioner's father's patta land) and the public pathway Survey No.15/1B in Keeladi Village, Sivaganga District based on the Petitioner's representation dated 25.10.2025 within time frame as fixed by this Court.

2.The writ petitioner has title over S.No.15/1A, Keeladi Village, Sivagangai District. The respondents propose to construct a police check post in S.No.15/1B. The petitioner wants this Court to restrain the respondents from doing so.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader as well as the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents submitted that considering the importance which the locality has gained, it is necessary to construct the police check post in S.No.15/1B. Admittedly, the petitioner has no claim or right over S.No.15/1B. Therefore, this writ petition has to be dismissed as not maintainable. 4.The respondents make it clear that the petitioner's patta land in S.No.15/1A will not be touched. It is further made clear that the petitioner's right to access his land in S.No.15/1A should not be affected by the construction of the police check post. It is further relevant note that the police check post would come only in the highway and not in the petitioner's patta land.
