ORDER

The prayer in the writ petition reads as follows:- "The writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to convene a special meeting for consideration of the motion against the fourth respondent and to record the view of the council, at the office of the Kayalpattinam Municipality as required under Section 40B of the Tamil Nadu Municipality Act 1920 as amended by Act of 15 of 2011 pursuant to the notice dated 11.07.2013 within the time frame fixed by this Court. "

2.In view of the fact that the period of the office of the Councillor itself is over, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
