ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus forbearing the respondents herein from interfering with the right of the petitioners to park their vehicles in Koppudayanki Amman Tourist Car and Van Stand previously known as Ganapathy Park Tourist Stand at Karaikudi, Sivagangai District.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioners association has been parking the vehicles in the area in question since 1975. Though initially tender was called for upto 2006, there has been no tender since 2008. Even then, the petitioners association are continuing to park the vehicles in the place in question. Now, the petitioner association wants to conduct auction for parking the vehicles.

3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the second respondent would submit that the request of the petitioner will be considered on merits and in accordance with law. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. In view of the above, the second respondent is directed to take immediate steps for conducting auction for grant of licence to the area concerned, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order by effecting due publication in the leading local dailies.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
