Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to initiate appropriate action against the 8th respondent and consequently direct the 2nd respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his
family members to offer worship in Kaliamman Temple and Vinayagar Temple situated in Vairampalayam Kumpoor Village, Vedasandur Taluk, Dindigul District. For Petitioner :

The Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to initiate appropriate action against the 8th respondent and consequently, direct the 2nd respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family members to offer worship in Kaliamman Temple and Vinayagar Temple situated in Vairampalayam Kumpoor Village, Vedasandur Taluk, Dindigul District.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the representations of the petitioner dated 15.11.2010, 13.05.2011 and 16.05.2011 have not been considered and hence, the writ petition has been filed.
3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 7 that if a representation is given, the fourth respondent is ready to consider the representation of the petitioner.
4. In view of the above submission, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation to the fourth respondent and on such receipt, the fourth respondent, after hearing both the petitioner as well as the 8th respondent and other necessary parties, pass orders as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight weeks therefrom.
5. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
