PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.482 of BNSS PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Cr.No.490 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 296(b) and 355 of BNS, Section 71 of Information Technology Act, Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, in Crime No.490 of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner published false new about the defacto complainant on social media. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence 2/4

as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police submits that co-accused have already been arrested and that five previous cases are pending against the petitioner. He further submits that no property has been recovered from him. Therefore, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case, the antecedents of the petitioner and also considering the nature of offence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitione
