: RESPONDENTS Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a WRIT OF MANDAMUS directing the Respondents to allot plot M2/162 house site as per letter No.Ne.A.5.5/46972/2001 of T.N.H.B. Chennai-35, dated 10.12.2003. (Prayer amended vide court order dated 20.06.2012 in M.P.(MD).No.1 of 2012 by KVJ) For Petitioner : Mr.S.Natesh Raja For R.1 : Mr.M.Murugan Government Advocate For R.2 to 4 : Mr.S.Nagarajan

ORDER

The petitioner submitted an application for allotment of a house plot. Since follow up action was not taken by the respondents, the petitioner is before this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

The Tamil Nadu Housing Board filed a counter affidavit, wherein, it is contended that the matter is now pending before the Board. According to the third respondent, local office has already sent a proposal to the Head Office at Chennai and appropriate orders will be passed.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Advocate for the first respondent and learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 2 to 4. 4.

The second respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner for allotment of a house plot as indicated in paragraph No.5 of the counter affidavit filed by the respondents 2 to 4 as expeditiously as possible. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
