Respondents Prayer: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.05.2011 and consequently direct the first respondent to issue a patta in survey No.525/1A extent of 2 acres and 30 cents situated at 4/3, 15 Tahsildar Nagar, Thamaraikulam, Periyakulam Taluk, Theni District in accordance with law.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 05.05.2011, and for consequential direction to the first respondent to issue a patta in survey No.525/1A extent of 2 acres and 30 cents situated at 4/3, 15 Tahsildar Nagar, Thamaraikulam, Periyakulam Taluk, Theni District in accordance with law.

2. Heard Ms.V.Jeyarani, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as Mr.Aairam K.Selvakumar, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice if the representation of the

petitioner is disposed of, by the first respondent, on merits and in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered by the first respondent in accordance with law.

5. In view of the above, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner in this Writ Petition, the first respondent/District Collector is directed to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner, dated 05.05.2011, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the interested parties, if any, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
