ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to dispose the petitioner's representation dated

23.08.2025, within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court and consequently, issue joint patta by including the petitioner's name.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties.

3. According to the petitioner, he submitted a representation dated 23.08.2025 to the respondent seeking issuance of a joint patta by including his name along with the existing patta holders. The said representation has not been acted upon by the respondent till date, causing hardship and preventing the petitioner from establishing his lawful rights over the property. The petitioner contends that he is legally entitled to have his name included in the patta, and therefore, the respondent is duty-bound to consider and dispose of his representation in accordance with law.

4. In view of the inaction on the part of the respondent, the petitioner has approached this Court for the relief stated supra.

5. The learned Government Advocate for the respondent submits that the petitioner's representation will be considered on its merits and in accordance with law.

Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.08.2025, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The respondent is directed to provide reasonable opportunity during such enquiry to the petitioner and also to the other persons, who may be affected by such decision. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the Civil Court. There shall be no order as to costs. NCC : Yes / No (K.SURENDER, J.)
