PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the impugned orde rof suspension passed by the respondent in R.C.No.A10/2800/2012 dated 19.06.2012 quash the same and consequently direct the respondent herein to regularize the period of the petitioner's suspension with all monetary benefits within a reasonable time as may be stipulated by this Court. ORDER
The learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that the order of suspension dated 19.06.2012 is under challenge in the present writ petition. However, the criminal case registered against the writ petitioner in Cr.No.144/2012, on the file of the Veerapandi police station, Theni, ended with an order of acquittal. Subsequently, the order of suspension was revoked and the writ petitioner was reinstated in service. Thereafter he was allowed to retire from service on attaining the age of superannuation. The terminal and pensionary benefits of the petitioner were also settled.
2.This being the facts of the case, no further adjudication is to be undertaken in respect of the grounds raised in the present writ petition.
