O R D E R
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the final report in C.C.No.1232 of 2025, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.V, Madurai, Madurai District, filed against the petitioners for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 294(b), 323, 324 and 506(i) of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.
2. The allegation in the final report is that during the Devar Kurupoojai, the petitioners sounded the horn of their bike; and when the second respondent/defacto complainant and his brother questioned the same, the petitioners abused the second respondent/defacto complainant in filthy language, attacked him with hands and an iron rod, and committed criminal intimidation, and thus committed the aforesaid offences.

3. Admittedly, the petitioners and the second respondent/defacto complainant belong to the same village and are known to each other. The parties have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 29th October, 2025.

The petitioners, namely, (1) R.Vinoth [Aadhaar No.3455 2037 5800], (2) R.Dhanush [Aadhaar No.8566 5455 8483], (3) Saravanakumar [Aadhaar No.9982 0891 2539], (4) Saran @ Saranraj [Aadhaar No.8840 2431 6304], (5) M.Anbalagan [Aadhaar No.5102 5055 8154] and (6) M.Guna @ Premkumar [Aadhaar No.6984 8226 7902], and the second respondent/defacto complainant, namely, Balaguru [Aadhaar No.7686 2373 3840] are present before this Court in person. The parties are identified by Mr.K.Salim Chet, Special Sub-Inspector of Police, Karimedu Police Station, Madurai City. The second respondent/defacto complainant confirmed the compromise arrived at between them and stated that he does not wish to pursue the case.
5. In view of the same and considering the nature of the offences, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by Page No. 3 of 6
keeping the impugned final report pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned final report in C.C.No.1232 of 2025, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.V, Madurai, Madurai District, is quashed. The petitioners shall pay a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) to the Siddha Unit attached to this Court (A/c. No.10767823177, IFSC Code : SBIN0000898 & MICR Code : 625002601) forthwith and file a photocopy of the receipt along with a memo reporting compliance in the Registry. The compromise memo filed by the parties shall form part and parcel of this order.
