Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents, particularly 1st respondent, to sanction Senior Lecturer scale of pay to the petitioner with effect from 19.09.2000 and correspondingly revise the scale of pay as per the Tamil Nadu Revised Scale of Pay Rules, 1998 and fix the pay at Pay Band Rs.15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs.7000/- as per the VI Pay Commission recommendation with effect from 01.01.2006, and confer all the consequential benefits including revision in pension and other terminal benefits.

The relief sought for in this Writ Petition is for a direction to direct the 1st respondent to sanction Senior Lecturer scale of pay to the petitioner with effect from 19.09.2000 and correspondingly revise the scale of pay as per the Tamil Nadu Revised Scale of Pay Rules, 1998 and all consequential service benefits.

2.The writ petitioner was appointed as Instructor (Mechanical Engineering) in the year of 1985 in the 3rd respondent Polytechnic College. Subsequently, he was promoted as Lecturer. However, the scale of pay, as admissible to the petitioner, has not been granted. In this regard, the writ petitioner submitted a representation to the respondents and the same is yet to be considered. 3.Thus, without going into the merits of the case, the 2nd respondent / Commissioner of Technical Education is directed to considered the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 13.07.2012 and passed orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4.The writ petitioner is directed to enclose the copy of the representation and the Government Orders, if any, along with orders passed in this writ petition.
5.With above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. However, no order as to costs.
