Respondents This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to forthwith issue the patta in favour of petitioner in respect of his lands situated in S.No.65/4 at Elakudipatti Village, K.Pallivasal Post, Naivasal Panchayat, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District, on the basis of the representation dated 17.01.2013 within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition to grant patta for the lands possessed by him.

2. By consent, this Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice if the representation of the petitioner dated 17.01.2013 is considered and disposed of by the respondents, on merits and in accordance with law.

4. The learned Govt.Advocate for the respondents, on instruction, would submit that, the representation of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

5. In view of the above, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner in this Writ Petition, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 17.01.2013, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the interested parties, if any, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
