Respondents PRAYER: The Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.09.2013 seeking allotment of houses to the 50 poor and downtrodden people, which was constructed by the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board at Periyar Nagar, Rajakkoor Village, Madurai District, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the 1st respondent, Mr.J.Gunasekara Muthaiah, learned standing counsel takes notice for the 2nd respondent and (*)Mr.P.Mahendran, learned standing counsel takes notice for the 3rd respondent.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsels appearing for the respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.At this stage of the hearing of the Writ petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had submitted that it would suffice, if the 1st respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 06.09.2013.

4.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the 1st respondent, has no objection for such an order being passed by this Court.

5.In view of the above, the 1st respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation, dated 06.09.2013, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after providing an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, as well as to the other persons concerned, if any. However, it is made clear, that this Court, by this order, has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter. The Writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
