Respondents PRAYER:- Writ Petition - filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant the emergency leave to the period of six days to the petitioner's father namely Kanagarajan S/o.Baskaran, who is convict prisoner in a cheating case in CP.No.9195 and languishing Central Prison, Madurai for the past 1 1⁄2 years by considering the petitioner's representation dated 14.10.2025.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by P.VELMURUGAN, J.) The instant writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant emergency leave to the petitioner's father, who is now detained at Central Prison Madurai in relation to the case in C.P.No. 9195 for a period of 6 days 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's father, Kanagarajan is a convict prisoner and now detained in Central Prison, Madurai in a cheating case in C.P.No.9195. The petitioner's grandmother is struggling for her life and she wishes to see his son, namely the father of the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner made a representation dated 14.10.2025 before the authorities concerned. Since the said representation was not considered, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents submits that the representation of the petitioner will be considered and necessary orders will be passed. 2/4
4.Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.10.2025 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible.
