O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition for a writ of mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 22.08.2013 under Section 205 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act 1994.

2.The petitioner is the Vice President of Pottal Pudur Village Panchayat. The fifth respondent is the President of the said Panchayat. According to the petitioner, the fifth respondent is acting against the welfare of the Village Panchayat. Therefore, he has sent a representation to the Inspector of Panchayat-cumDistrict Collector to initiate proceedings under Section 205 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994 against the fifth respondent. The first respondent did not pass any orders on the representation. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition for the above stated relief.

3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 4.Considering the limited relief sought for, without going into the merits of the case, the first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.08.2013 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
