ORDER

The petitioners seek to quash the final report in C.C.No.334 of 2025 dated 27.06.2025 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Sivagangai, which was filed for the offences under Section 506(1), 384, 511 and 294(b) IPC and Section 67 of the Information Technology (Amendment) Act, 2008.

The gist of the allegation in the impugned final report is that due to previous motive, the petitioners posted a defacto complainant's video in a whatsapp group; that when the same was questioned by the defacto complainant, the petitioners the petitioners abused him in filthy language and threatened him of dire consequences and thus committed the aforesaid offences.

3. Admittedly, the parties have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 10th November 2025.

4. The petitioners, namely, Bala.Ravirajan (Aadhaar No.6445 1525 5117), S.V.Narayanan (Aadhaar No.3738 1249 7006) and the second respondent, namely, Balamurugan (Aadhaar No.4311 6069 8115) are present 2/5

before this Court in person. They are identified by Ms.M.Santha Kumari, Inspector, Cyber Crime Police Station, Sivagangai District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

In view of the same, considering the nature of the offences and since the dispute is private in nature, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned final report pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned final report in C.C.No.334 of 2025 dated 27.06.2025 is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The petitioners shall pay a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) as costs to the High Court Legal Services Authority attached to this Bench forthwith and file a photocopy of the receipt along with a memo reporting compliance in the Registry.
