PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of MANDAMUS, directing the 1st Respondent to reissue the Passport bearing No. Z7404130 to the petitioner by processing his application in File No.MD1075485259225 based on the explanation/representation dated 15.10.2025 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus as against the first respondent for reissuance of the passport based upon the explanation offered by the petitioner dated 15.02.2025.

2. It is brought to the notice of the Court that the petitioner has been implicated in a criminal case and a charge sheet has been laid in P.R.C.No.38 of 2025 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Sivakasi, and the trial Court concerned is at Srivilliputhur.

3. In view of the above said facts, the petitioner is directed to approach the trial Court concerned seeking the permission of the Court to go abroad. In case, any such application is filed, the trial Court concerned is directed to dispose of the same within a period of four weeks. Based upon the order to be passed by the concerned trial Court, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law.

4. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
