O R D E R
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the FIR in Crime No.79 of 2025 on the file of the first respondent police, registered against the petitioners for the offences punishable under Sections 296(b), 118(1) and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023.
2. The allegation in the FIR is that on account of prior enmity, the petitioners attacked the second respondent/defacto complainant with hands, abused in filthy language and also committed the criminal intimation, and thus committed the aforesaid offences.
3. Admittedly, the petitioners and the second respondent/defacto complainant belong to the same village. The parties have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 10th November, 2025. Page No. 2 of 5

The petitioners, namely, (1) Dinesh @ Dineshbabu [Aadhaar No. 2349 7219 9367] and (2) Lakshmanan [Aadhaar No.7894 5995 2154], and the second respondent/defacto complainant, namely, Manickavasgam [Aadhaar No.9014 0564 0906] are present before this Court in person. The parties are identified by Mr.V.Bose, Special Sub Inspector of Police, Vadipatti Police Station. The second respondent/defacto complainant confirmed the compromise arrived at between the parties and stated that he does not wish to pursue the case.
5. Considering the nature of the offences, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the First Information Report (FIR) pending investigation. Accordingly, the impugned First Information Report (FIR) in Crime No.79 of 2025 on the file of the first respondent police, is quashed. The petitioners shall pay a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) to the Siddha Unit attached to this Court (A/c. No.10767823177, IFSC Code : SBIN0000898 & MICR Code : 625002601) forthwith and file a photocopy of the receipt along with a memo reporting compliance in the Registry. The compromise memo filed by the parties shall form part and parcel of this order. Page No. 3 of 5
