ORDER

This contempt petition is filed to punish the respondent for wilful disobedience of the order dated 17.12.2024 in Crl.M.P(MD).No.13432 of 2024 in Crl.O.P(MD).No.21683 of 2024 on the file of this Court. 2.A perusal of the records would show that at the time of admission of Crl.O.P(MD).Nos.21657, 21682 and 21683 of 2024 and Crl.MP(MD).Nos. 13412, 13413, 13431 and 13432 of 2024, on the basis of the instructions, the learned Government Advocate submitted that already charge sheets have been laid through e-filing before the learned Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Sivagangai and this Court vide order dated 17.12.2024 passed an order directing the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Sivagangai, need not to take cognizance of the same, till the disposal of the said criminal original petitioners. However, the Judicial Magistrate had taken cognizance of the same and hence, the petitioner has initiated contempt proceeding as against the respondent police. This Court is 2/4

of the considered view that such a contempt will not lie against the respondent police for an act of the learned Judicial Magistrate. Accordingly, this Contempt Petition is closed.
