Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

2. This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondents 3 to 5 to consider petitioner's representation dated 26.10.2012.

3. The petitioner is one of the Secretaries of the Viruthunagar District Congress Committee and made an application to the respondents to allot site for construction of Memorial Halls to former Chief Minister of Tamilnadu Late Kamarajar and former Prime Minister Late Rajiv Gandhi. The petitioner sought for land in S.No.308 of Anaiyur Village.

4.The fifth respondent has filed a counter stating that all the lands in the above Survey number was allotted to various public purposes including Arts and Science College and no more place is available in the said Survey number. 5.In view of the above, there is no purpose in directing the respondents to allot the above site and the relief sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted. However, the petitioner is given liberty to approach the respondents and sought for a place in any other Survey number suitable for construction of memorial halls.

6.Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
