PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records pertaining to the impugned rejection order dated 22.09.2025 on the file of the fifth respondent and quash the same as illegal and to consequently direct the third respondent to mutate patta in respect of the lands in S.No. 198/1A and 198/1C situated in Malampatti Village, Sivagangai Taluk, Sivagangai District in favour of the petitioner. O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed challenging the rejection order dated 22.09.2025 passed by the fifth respondent and consequently, to direct the third respondent to mutate patta in respect of the lands in S.Nos. 198/1A and 198/1C situated in Malampatti Village, Sivagangai Taluk, Sivagangai District, in favour of the petitioner.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 to 5 submitted that the petitioner has filed an appeal relating to the present issue, which is 2/5

pending before the second respondent, the Revenue Divisional Officer. It was further submitted that the said appeal will be considered and disposed of in accordance with law within the time frame stipulated by this Court.

3. In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer to consider and dispose of the appeal on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
