PRAYER: Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing to sanction and allow the petitioner to withdraw a sum of Rs.8,00,000/- from and out of his own accumulation of Provident Fund Contribution available to the credit of the respondent for the marriage of his daughter within the time limit that may be stipulated by this court.

ORDER

The petitioner is working as a Driver. He had proposed to marry off his daughter and the marriage was scheduled on 27.11.2025. Therefore, he submitted an application to the respondent for providing advance amount of Rs.8.lakh from his provident fund account. However, the same has not been considered by the respondent. Therefore, the petitioner has approached this court.

2.When this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondent has disbursed a sum of Rs.2 lakh on 05.11.2025. Therefore, he borrowed money from others and solemnised her daughter's marriage. Even after three months of the marriage, the respondent has not disbursed the balance amount. 3.The learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent submits that the petitioner is entitled to get Rs.5,28,294/- as advance from his provident fund, on 05.11.2025 Rs.2 lakh was disbursed and the balance amount would be paid to the petitioner on or before 18.02.2026. 2/4

4.In view of the above submission of the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent, this writ petition is closed with a direction to the respondent to disburse the balance advance amount to the petitioner on or before 18.02.2026.
