O R D E R

The petitioner filed an application before the respondent to renew his passport bearing No.B.3340794. Since there was no follow up action taken by the respondent, the petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. None appeared on behalf of the Passport Officer, Race Course, Madurai.

3. In the counter affidavit, the Passport Officer indicated that the petitioner was called upon to furnish a divorce certificate issued by the Government Kazi for the purpose of renewing his passport.

4. There is nothing on record to show that the petitioner produced the divorce certificate issued by the Government Kazi. The petitioner is given liberty to produce the divorce certificate issued by the Government Kazi, before the respondent. In case, the divorce certificate is produced, application for renewal shall be https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

considered and disposed of on merits and as per law, as expeditiously as possible.

5. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
