The petitioner asserts that the properties in survey Nos.328/6 (90 cents), 328/8 (12 cents), 329/1 (4 acres 84 cents) and 349/13 (1 acre 60 cents) belonged to his father, Subba Reddiar. On the ground that his father's name was unlawfully deleted from the patta and that only the names of third parties, namely, Subbulakshmi, Kanagaraj, Nagaraj, Velraj, Muniyammal, Nagalakshmi, Seethalakshmi, Elango and Narayanan, find place therein, the petitioner had submitted representations to the District Collector and several revenue officials subordinate to him. The petitioner seeks an early disposal of the appeal.

2. Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for the sole respondent. He points out that the petitioner had filed a proceeding before the District Revenue Officer seeking grant of patta and to restore the revenue records to the pre-UDR status. Without prejudice, he states that the respondent would consider and dispose of the appeal on merits.

3. Given the nature of relief claimed, this Writ Petition is disposed 2/4

of by directing the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's appeal after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and to all the current pattadars. A speaking order shall be issued within three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
