Heard both sides.
2. The petitioner is a resident of Pudhunilaivayal Village. He seeks permission for conducting Kumbabishekam for the petition mentioned temple.
3. The learned Additional Advocate General questions the financial wherewithal of the writ petitioner. In the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, there is no mention about the petitioner's financial capability or soundness. His avocation is not clearly known. The extent of his land holdings has not been mentioned. In the petitioner's representation enclosing in the typed set of papers, it appears that the petitioner wants to make collection from the devotees but then such a course of action cannot be permitted by this Court.
4. The learned Additional Advocate General submits that the estimate for Kumbabishekam has already been prepared. It has already been sent to the department for finalizing. The Commissioner, HR & CE Department will consult the expert committee and then finalize the proposal. Based on the order to be passed by the Commissioner, the Government will sanction the requisite 3/6
funds. This process may take anywhere between 3 to 6 months. In any event, the renovation works can commence only in Tamil month of Thai.
5. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Advocate General, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
