respondents to register the death of the petitioner's wife R.Srinithi as per relevant statutory provisions and issue the death certificate of the petitioner's wife to the petitioner, based on the petitioner's application dated 07.02.2025, within a time to be stipulated by this Court. ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The writ petitioner got married to one R.Srinithi on 16.05.2019. The marriage was registered on the file of the Sub Registrar, Rajapalayam. The matrimonial home was at Singaraajkottai Street, Rajapalayam. Srinithi gave birth to a female child on 13.12.2024 at R.R.Hospital, Rajapalayam. Post delivery, she moved to her father's home at Sampanthapuram, Rajapalayam. She passed away enroute to R.R. Hospital on 30.12.2024 due to heart attack. The hospital authority has also issued necessary death certificate. All that the petitioner wants is registration of his wife's death and issuance of death certificate. It 2/6

appears that the relationship between the petitioner and his in-laws has come under strain. They do not appear to be cooperating. There is also some doubt as to where exactly Srinithi passed away. 3.Since the factum of death is not in doubt, it can very well be presumed that it took place within the jurisdictional limits of Rajapalayam municipality. The Commissioner is the authority to register the death and issue death certificate.

4.Considering the special facts and circumstances of this case, enquiry can very well be dispensed with. The petitioner has given a formal application to the fourth respondent on 07.11.2025. The fourth respondent is directed to register the petitioner's wife's demise and also issue death certificate. This shall be done immediately. 5.The writ petition is allowed accordingly.
