ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by DR.ANITA SUMANTH, J.) The prayer is for a mandamus directing the District Collector, Tirunelveli / R1 to consider and dispose the appeal filed by the petitioner on 21.12.2024 on merits and in accordance with law.
2. Mr.M.Sarangan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who appears for the respondents has instructions obtained in advance to enable us to dispose this petition even at the stage of admission.
3. Hence, by consent, this order is passed disposing the writ petition even at the stage of admission.
4. Mr.Sarangan, learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions states that the appeal is ripe for hearing and that hearing notice has also been issued to the parties.
5. Hence, we close this writ petition directing District Collector, Tirunelveli / R1 to dispose the appeal dated 21.12.2024 on 2/4
merits and in accordance with law and in line with the principles of natural justice, within a period of twelve weeks from today. We make it clear that the District Collector, Tirunelveli / R1 shall address the matter independently and with an open mind. No costs.
