Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records in pursuant to the impugned order passed by the third respondent in Na.Ka.A6/3900/2011 dated 26.7.2011 and consequential order passed by the fourth respondent in Na.Ka.A5-5-2011 dated 29.7.2011 and quash the same and consequently directing the first respondent herein to immediately amend relevant rules in connection with recruitment of Deputy Tahsildars by way of promotion in the light of the ratio formulated by Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Civil Appeal No.2251/2009 (@SLP No.9628/2006) with Civil Appeal No.2252/2009 (@ SLP No.8848/2008) dated 08.04.2009 within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

The issues raised in the present writ petition regarding the promotion as well as the seniority is now decided by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case of A.Rajagopal & Others vs. The District Collector, Thiruchirapalli District and others reported in CDJ 2019 SC 304. In view of the fact that the Hon'ble Supreme Court has issued comprehensive directions to the authorities competent for grant of promotion and fixation of seniority etc., No further consideration is required in respect of the similar issue which is raised in the present writ petition.
