ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the third respondent not to harass the petitioners under the guise of enquiry.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that the respondent Police is not harassing the petitioners; that an enquiry is pending on the complaint given by one Palkannan and others and that the same would be completed within a period of two weeks.

3. It is needless to say that the respondent Police in the guise of enquiry cannot harass any person. However, if the petitioners' presence is required for enquiry, the respondent Police shall issue summons and complete the enquiry within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
