ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by DR.ANITA SUMANTH, J.) Mr.D.Rameshkumar, learned counsel appearing for petitioner, has made an endorsement to the effect that the petitioner does not wish to pursue this Writ Petition.

2.The petitioner, rightly, wishes to file an appeal and a stay application before the appellate authority under Section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905.

3.If the appeal and stay applications are filed within one week from today, then the petitioner shall be protected for a period of three weeks thereafter anticipating disposal of the stay application within that period.

4.Status quo shall be maintained for a three weeks thereafter or disposal of the stay application, whichever is earlier. 2/4

5.In view of the endorsement so made by learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with directions as aforesaid. No costs. Connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
