Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents herein to survey and demarcate the four boundaries of the petitioner's property comprised in S.No. 66/45B of an extent of 0.01.35 Hectares which is situated at Pattinamkathan village, Ramanathapuram District by considering petitioner's application dated 10/09/2025 within the time stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

By relying on a sale deed dated 11.11.2021, an inam settlement deed dated 14.02.2024 and patta No.18186, the petitioner had applied for a survey of land in survey No.66/45B. The present Writ Petition relates thereto.

2. Learned Government Advocate accepts notice for all the respondents. Subject to the petitioner filing an online application, he submits that the survey would be carried out after issuing notice to owners of relevant adjacent lands.

3. The petitioner has placed on record both title and revenue records evidencing the petitioner's title and rights in relation thereto. On instructions, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is no rival title claim. In these circumstances, a case is made out to initiate action on the petitioner's request for a survey. 2/4

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of on the following terms:

i. The petitioner shall submit an online application enclosing relevant documents within two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

ii. Within three (3) months from the date of receipt thereof, the respondents are directed to initiate action on the petitioner's request for a survey and complete the entire process after issuing notice to owners of relevant adjacent lands and considering objections, if any, from them.

iii. No costs.
