Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to issue a suitable orders to the concerned authorities to shift and install the Karamaveerar Kamarajar Statue in prominent prestigious place at Aranthangi, Pudukkottai District within stipulated time limit according to law based on the Petitioner's representation dated 13.06.2011.

2.The petitioner wants a direction to shift and install the statue of Karamaveerar Kamarajar in prominent prestigious place at Aranthangi, Pudukkottai District. This is opposed by the fifth respondent stating that the said statue was installed in the year 1990 and it was renovated and opened in the year 2013.
3.The third respondent has filed a counter, wherein paragraph - 4 reads as follows:
"On 11.03.1987, the President of the Janatha Party had made an application for permission to install the statue of K.Kamarahar in the Gandhi park road and Taluk office road junction. This application was placed before the then Municipal council on 30.04.1987 for its decision. By resolution No.222 dated 30.04.1987, the Council permitted the said proposal. Consequently, the Statue was installed and it was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister of Karnataka in the year 1990. 4.Therefore, we find no cause in public interest to issue any further direction, since it is for the Government to decide the issue, as to where the statue should be installed or shifted. Hence, the writ petition fails and the same is dismissed. No costs.
