ORDER

This writ petition is filed for issuance of writ of mandamus, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.09.2025 and to provide adequate police protection to fencing his land in Survey No.220/1B for an extent of 2.83 Acres, which is situated at M.Pudupatti East Revenue Village, Musiri Taluk, Trichy District.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Advocates appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and perused the materials available on record. Since no adverse order is going to be passed, the appearance of the fourth respondent is dispensed with.

The facts of the case is that the petitioner has agricultural property bearing Survey No.220/1B to an extent of 2.83 acres, which is situated at M.Pudupatti East Revenue Village, Musiri Taluk, Trichy District. After the demise of his father, the petitioner is in possession and enjoyment of the said property. In such circumstances, the petitioner wants to know exact four boundaries of the said property and hence, he made an application to the 1st respondent with necessary fees paid. In the meanwhile, the fourth respondent, who is the adjacent land owner made a complaint before the 3rd respondent police as against the petitioner with regard to the dispute of boundary line between his land and the petitioner's land. Hence, this petition.

4. The dispute is between the petitioner and the fourth respondent regarding the boundary line between the their agricultural land. Therefore, the first respondent/Tahsildar is directed to survey the property in question after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as the fourth respondent and 3/5

survey shall be conducted in the presence of the petitioner and the fourth respondent. While such survey is being conducted, the respondent police 2 and 3 shall provide adequate police protection. However, it is made clear that based on the survey, the possession cannot be disturbed. If aggrieved, the parties are at liberty to approach the Civil Court.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
