This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to stop the indiscriminate and illegal sand quarrying at Kollidam River in Thiruchinampoondi Village, Thiruvaiyaru Taluk, Thanjavur District. 2.The learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondents on instructions states that quarrying activities has been stopped from 17.11.2013.
