(FB) TANGEDCO Proceeding No.14, dated 17.05.2013 passed by the 4th respondent and quash the same in so far as it relates to the vacancies in the post of AE (Electrical) by way of direct recruitment and consequently direct the respondents to fill up the backlog vacancies in the post of JE Grade I (Electrical) and defer filling up the vacancies in the post of AE (Electrical) by direct recruitment till then.

The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioners submitted that the writ petitioners were promoted during the pendency of the writ petition. This being the factum, no further adjudication is required in respect of the grounds raised in this writ petition.

2. However, it is left open to the writ petitioners to redress the grievances in relation to the seniority and other consequential benefits by way of submitting a fresh representation to the authorities competent. In the event of receiving any such representation, the authorities competent shall adjudicate the same and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible, if the writ petitioners are otherwise eligible and qualified.

3. With the above observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
