O R D E R

The petitioner submitted a representation to the passport officer, Tirunelveli, to correct the date of birth in his passport bearing No.H5735404 on the strength of the documents, namely, order dated 17.05.2011 in Cr.M.P.No.2297 of 2011 passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ambasamudram, and the Birth Certificate issued by the Ambasamudram Municipality. Since follow up action was not taken by the respondent, the petitioner is before this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondent.

3. The respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 29.07.2011, on merits and as per law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
