Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to provide police protection for life and limb of the petitioner and his wife, based on petitioner's representation, dated 04.10.2025 and consequently direct the 2nd respondent to register the complaint against the private respondents on the basis of petitioner's complaint, dated 02.09.2025 before the 2nd respondent's police station.

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to provide police protection for life and limb of the petitioner and his wife based on his representation dated 04.10.2025 and consequently direct the second respondent to register the complaint against the private respondents on the basis of petitioner's complaint dated 02.09.2025.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that pursuant to the complaint lodged by the petitioner, an enquiry is pending to ascertain whether any cognizable offence is made out and that the same would be concluded within a period of two weeks.

3. In view of the above submission, there shall be a direction to the respondent Police to complete the above said enquiry and communicate the result of the same to the petitioner within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
