O R D E R

The petitioner was elected as a Vice President of Palamadai Village Panchayat in the Panchayat Elections held in the year 2011. The period of the Vice President has come to an end as on date.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner, however, would submit that the Collector, who had passed the impugned order, dated 22.10.2013 withdrawing the cheque signing powers, has no powers to issue such an order. The learned counsel for the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner would also reiterate various grounds raised in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition. 3.I do not intend to comment of any of the grounds raised by the petitioner in view of the fact that the period has already come to an end and the impugned order withdrawing the cheque signing power of the Vice President was only for the period when he was supposed to function as a Vice President and not after that.

4.In view of the same, the writ petition is dismissed, as no further order is required in this writ petition. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous Petitions are also dismissed.
