This writ petition have been filed for a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider and promote the petitioner to the post of Assistant Director in the Forensic Sciences Department based on petitioner's representation dated 24.09.2025 and in accordance with the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu Forensic Science Service in Section 43 in volume II of the Tamil Nadu Services Manual, 2016 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2. Even though the petitioner has sought for a positive Mandamus to promote him to the post of Assistant Director, it is seen that the petitioner has sent a representation on 24.09.2025 for the very same relief.

3. In view of the same, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 2/4

24.09.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
