O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus as against the first respondent for renewal/ issuance of passport to the petitioner based upon his application dated 22.09.2025.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the second respondent brought to the notice of this Court that a criminal case is pending as against the petitioner. A charge sheet has already been laid before the Judicial Magistrate Court, Kandarvakottai on 27.03.2025. However, so far, the charge sheet has not been taken on file.

3. In view of the above said submissions, the petitioner is directed to approach the trial Court concerned seeking permission of the Court to go abroad. In case, if any such application is filed, the same shall be disposed of within a period of four weeks. Based upon the order passed by the Judicial Magistrate, Kandarvaklottai, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law.

4. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
