O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.08.2025.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. The petitioner claims that the petition-mentioned properties originally belonged to his father and, after his father's demise, the properties devolved upon the petitioner. The grievance of the petitioner is that the patta for the said properties stands in the name of Anthoniar Church. Therefore, he filed an appeal before the second respondent, who in turn sought a detailed enquiry report from the third respondent. The third respondent thereafter submitted a report recommending amendment of Patta No.1069 and issuance of patta in favour of the petitioner. However, the said recommendation has not been implemented till date. In this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 11.08.2025 seeking amendment and issuance of patta. As no action has been taken, 2/6

the present writ petition has been filed.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the District Revenue Officer is the competent authority to consider the petitioner's request. He further submits that the petitioner has impleaded the District Revenue Officer as the fourth respondent and that the District Revenue Officer will consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 11.08.2025 in accordance with law.

In view of the above submission, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the District Revenue Officer/fourth respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.08.2025 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. Such representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an inquiry and affording a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and to all other persons who may be affected by such decision 3/6

during the course of the inquiry. In the event of any issues pertaining to land disputes, the parties shall approach the competent civil court. No costs.
