Prayer: To issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to give a police protection for survey and put fencing on his property in Survey No.163/4C1A and 163/4B situated at Kaduvettividuthi Village, Thiruvonam Taluk, Thanjavur District with an extent of 3.24 acres and 33 acres respectively based on his representation given by him dated 13.10.2025.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to provide police protection for conducting a survey and putting up fencing around the petitioner's property in Survey Nos. 163/4C1A and 163/4B, situated at Kaduvettividuthi Village, Thiruvonam Taluk, Thanjavur District, measuring an extent of 3.24 acres and 33 cents respectively, based on his representation dated 13.10.2025.

2. By order dated 15.12.2025, the fourth respondent conducted a survey and submitted a report before this Court.

3. It is stated in the report that the petitioner is in possession of the property, however, there is a reduction of 4 cents in the extent claimed by the petitioner. Nevertheless, it is clear that the petitioner is in possession of certain land in the said survey numbers.

4. Therefore, the second respondent is directed to provide police protection to enable the petitioner to fence the property as per the report submitted 2/4

by the Tahsildar. In case the petitioner is aggrieved with regard to the remaining extent, he is at liberty to approach the competent Court.
