The petition seeks a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate-I, to expedite the trial in C.C.No.239 of 2023, within a time frame. 1/4

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions would submit that the case is posted for framing of charge on 17.11.2025.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the case was registered in the year 2011 and the trial is pending from 2023 and the petitioner is aged about 80 years.

4. Admittedly, the case was registered in the year 2011 and the petitioner is aged about 80 years. The trial is pending from 2023.

5. Considering the age of the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the learned Magistrate to dispose of the trial in C.C.No.239 of 2023 within a period of one year from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
