This petitioner seeks issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to correct his date of birth as 24.07.1989 based on the order of the judicial Magistrate, Melur in Cr.M.P.No.102 of 2004 dated 27.02.2004.

2. Heard Mr.K.Sureshkumar, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.G.Muthukannan, learned Government Advocate for the first and second respondents and Mr.M.M.E.Phillips, learned counsel for the third respondent.

3. The learned Government Advocate would submit that the third respondent school has power to correct the date of birth of the petitioner, till he completes his studies and thereafter, in the mark sheet, correction could be carried out only by the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Director of School Education. In respect of other certificates, only the Joint Director, School Education has the power.

4. In view of the above submission, the petitioner has to make out proper application to redress his grievance. Hence, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
