Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents not to interfere in the matter of Sunday Arathana worship of petitioner's church with Amplifier and Speaker Box within the premises of church and not to harass the petitioner. ORDER

The petitioner filed this Writ Petition directing the Superintendent of Police, Tanjore, not to interfere in the Sunday Arathana Worship with amplifier and speaker box.

2. None appears on behalf of the petitioner.

3. The petitioner has come up with a strange prayer to restrain the police from interfering with the conduct of Assembly with mike and amplifier. There is no question of issuing a Mandamus to restrain the police from acting in a particular manner. In case the police has taken action, it is open to the petitioner to challenge such an action. In any case, there is no question of issuing an injunction to restrain the first respondent from exercising the power conferred on him under the provisions of law. of the view that there is absolutely no merit in the contention taken by the petitioner.
