By relying on an Assignment Order dated 03.04.2008 and a legal heirship certificate in respect of the petitioner's late father, Sakkarai, the petitioner had submitted a representation dated 15.09.2025 for issuance of patta. The present Writ Petition relates thereto.
2. Learned Government Advocate accepts notice for respondents 1, 3 and 4 and Mr.N.Ananda Kumar, learned Standing Counsel, accepts notice for the second respondent. Learned Government Advocate submits that the Tahsildar will consider the petitioner's request and pass orders thereon on merits within four (4) months.
3. Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merits, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the fourth respondent to consider the petitioner's request and pass orders thereon on merits within four (4) 2/4
months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to all the legal heirs of Sakkarai Pulavar. No costs.
